Life Story:

Patricia Sue was born on December 19, 1941 in Wichita Falls, Texas, to Patsy Ruth Lambert and Elmer Frank Fleming.  She was their only child.  Patsy remarried (when Sue was 5-years old) to Eldridge Dale Howard and Sue assumed the last name of Howard.  Patsy and Dale had two sons Eldridge Dale Jr and John Alan.  Dale Sr was career Air Force so Sue live in
Texas, New Mexico, Massachusetts, Alabama, Florida, Japan, California and Alaska where she graduated from high school.  She attended three semesters at Sacramento State College and from there moved to Aurora, Colorado where she eventually went to work for Frontier Airlines as a stewardess.  There she met Robert Lee Williams, a co-pilot on one of her trips.  It was love at first sight and they were married five months later on December 7, 1963.

(Bob and) Sue have three children: Andrew Martin Williams, Anne Williams and Robert Howard Williams.  Since Bob had the advantages of free or reduced rate travel on the airlines, they gave their children as much travel experience as they could so they could experience different nations’ customs, cultures and foods.  They traveled to Mexico, The Netherlands, Germany, Denmark, Virgin Islands and Canada.  They also traveled extensively in the United States.  They loved camping.

They (she) also has/have three grandchildren: Benton William Christensen, Connor Robert Agan and Addison Nelson Williams.

Sue converted to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in August of 1965 and spent her life serving in many church callings.  She loved teaching in Primary, Sunday school, Young Women’s and Relief Society.  She also held leadership positions: Ward and Stake Young Women’s President and Ward Relief Society President.  She spent nine years camping with the Young Women in one capacity or another, loving every minute.

Sue was a stay-at-home Mom for most of her married life but did later enter the work field.  She did mostly secretarial work through a temp agency.  She liked temp or on-call work so she could take Decembers off and refuse work if she wanted.  She worked for Stearns-Roger, United Engineers, Gibraltar Petroleum, Alpine School District and Intermountain Health Care.

Sue loves the traveling that she and Bob did together: Hawaii, New Zealand, Australia, Switzerland and Luxemburg.  They took several cruises to the Mexican Riviera, Panama Canal, Jamaica, Grand Cayman Islands, Spain, Greece, Italy, Turkey, Egypt and Malta.
